A little bit about elizabeth (Liz) Zemak, EA, WMS™

I love guiding people to reach their goals and find that building long-lasting relationships is important in order to do so. My favorite way to help people reach their financial goals is through financial planning and education. Since we aren’t taught the things we need to know to be successful in our financial lives in school, I’m here to leverage the knowledge and experience that I’ve gained from the 15+ years that I’ve spent in the financial services industry with you.

My entire career has been spent in beautiful Corning, NY, starting off at a local credit union, working at an investment firm, and then at a private family office. I worked my way from a teller to a tax associate, senior tax accountant, and finally to a relationship manager before finding my place at Rooted Planning Group.

I live in the greater Corning area with my husband, daughter, and dogs. I find joy in spending time with them. I also love to garden, hike, and build.

Education
I have a bachelor's degree in psychology from SUNY Binghamton. Additionally, I completed the financial planner coursework through the College for Financial Planning and am currently enrolled in the Chartered Financial Consultant program at the American College of Financial Services. I hold my Enrolled Agent designation and my Wealth Management Specialist certification.

Community
I serve on the Business and Education committee of the Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce, the benevolence committee at Grace Community Church, and the board of King’s Way Academy.
